The Old & The New

Japan is a mish mash of the old and the new... Kyoto and other prefectures like Shiga-Ken, Mie-Ken, Ishikawa-Ken and Shirakawa-go are places you can find the quaint houses and little towns and shops you won't probably see in Tokyo. Over there it is laid back, likened to that of certain parts of Australia.

If you are a city girl like me , you prolly wun like to stay there too long. But it is always good to feast and relax in the hot springs at the mountains and admire the scenery for a few days just to rejuvenate yourself! Singapore does not have these scenic getaways ... where can you get the view of Mount Fuji in the distant and the clear blue sky while soaking yourself in the hot springs? I sound like someone from the Japan tourism board now don't I?

Well if you really love a place to relax, get out of the city into places like Ise, near Nagoya and Nara - just a little further off from Tokyo...

When I get back from Tokyo... you will hear from me about the shopping in Tokyo and Osaka. Where to shop cheap and eat cheap too : )
